This last week we held two fun and successful events at our Golf Club. On Saturday we had a Men's Monthly event where men got into teams of 3 and played a scramble in 6somes. We converted all 27 holes of our facility into a Par 3 course ranging from 67 yards, up to 244. As a way to help with paying for my PGA fees, I posted up on one of the par 3's and took cash donations to hit shots for the teams and individuals themselves. I decided to go with one of the longer holes thinking that I could help the guys who had a tough time with distance. This worked out for the most part but your dispersion for hitting 50 shots at 200 yards will be a little larger than at a wedge distance. This led to me hitting a rough patch and not helping a few of the teams about which I feel awful about. All the teams donated and many gave me me more than I deserved, considering the shots, so overall it was a great success.

It did same thing for our Winter Wonderland event for the ladies on Saturday and had a lot of fun helping the ladies out on one of the tougher par 3's. The ladies were dressed to the nines in their Christmas Gear and seemed to have a lot of fun so again we had another successful event with a great turnout. All in all, between the two events I was able to generate over $1,000 from hitting their shots and it means the world to me to have their support. It is truly humbling to have the support of the members and working for them is the most rewarding aspect of this career.

This week I will begin my Level One bookwork for the PGA so I will update you soon on what all of that entails. Until then, keep it in the short grass.
